HomeHello, my name is Nick Wilson and I am a first year PhD student in Public Policy at Mississippi State University in Starkville, Ms. My major area of interest is disaster preparedness and recovery with a focus on state and local government. Prior to studying for my PhD I obtained my Masters Degree in Public Policy and Administration and my Bachelor of Arts in Political Science from Mississippi State. I also worked for two years for the Mississippi Municipal League. I am currently a Graduate Assistant in the Department of University Relations, the universities public affairs and communications office, providing system administration and technical support.

This is the recipe for a bean salad that I made when I went to a Vegetarian Potluck in Starkville the other night. I'm not a vegetarian but one of my friends invited me. My oven was out of commission after a small oven fire had required me to use my fire extinguisher. I was invited on short notice, and needed something quick and easy to bring. This recipe was a hit, and took less than 15 minutes to make. I'd make it again to have at dinner with some friends or take on a picnic. This would be a good recipe if you have friends who are vegetarians who are coming to a dinner party, and you wanted something they could eat that others would enjoy as well that isn't too involved to prepare. |
